Dough for pizza

  • 2 glasses of flour
  • 1 glass of water
  • 11 g of dry yeast (1 package)
  • 1 spoonful of olive oil
  • ½ teaspoonful of sugar
  • ½ teaspoonful of salt
  • Italian herbs

For filling (as desired)

  • 250 g of hard cheese
  • 150-200 g of each of the following ingredient: cooked meat, ham, smoked products, brisket meat or sausages (2-3 sorts)
  • Pickled gherkins, mushrooms, olives, capers – as desired
  • 1-2 fresh tomatoes, 1 sweet pepper, fresh mushrooms – as desired


Normally, you can use everything you get from your fridge, and the combinations of the ingredients may differ. To make the filling, cut everything into small pieces, grate cheese, slice vegetables into thin chips.

To make sauce, use following ingredients (at option): cleaned and minced tomatoes; usual mixture of mayonnaise and ketchup (1:1); cheese sauce, etc.

Dissolve yeast in water, add salt, sugar; pour this mixture into flour, add olive oil and knead the dough. Put the dough in a warm place for 30 minutes to rise. If you want the dough layer thick, press it a bit and let it rise for 30 minutes again. If you prefer thin dough layer, then start making your pizza.

Roll the dough to make a thin layer, put it on the oiled baking tray, pour the sauce and dredge Italian herbs, sprinkle grated cheese, put the filling and sprinkle cheese again. Bake pizza in the oven heated to maximum temperature (250-275 centigrade) for 10-12 minutes.

With the dough in this recipe you can make two trays of pizza.
